1837 * 1838 Rebellions - Patriotes vs Loyalists

The 1837 and 1838 rebellions were exceptional events in our country's history. The exhibition traces the roots of the Rebellions and their political, social and economic dimensions.

From November 6, 2007 to April 27, 2008.  Tuesday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

600 objects from the collection of the Hospitallers of St.Joseph, of Hôtel-Dieu, relate a history forever entwined with that of Montreal.

Guided tours are available for groups, the general public and students from grade schools to universities.

Tour of the Exhibit Damoiselle Mance

» Musée des Hospitalières de l’Hôtel-Dieu de Montréal in collaboration with The Univers culturel de St-Sulpice

The exhibition unveils the life and work of Jeanne Mance (1606-1673) co-founder of Montréal, founder of the Hôtel-Dieu and Canada's first secular nurse.

The exhibition can be visited individually during the museum's opening hours. A guided tour can also be reserved for groups.
